NOVEMBER 7, 2017 – ELECTION DAY VOTE CENTERS
Tuesday, November 7 is Election Day for voting on proposed statewide constitutional amendments.
Additional items are on the ballot for voters registered in the following districts:
Alvin Community College – Bond Election
Danbury ISD – Bond Election
Brazoria County Municipal Utility District No. 2 – Maintenance Tax Election
Brazoria County Municipal Utility District No. 66 – Creation Election plus tax rate, bond and director elections
Brazoria County Municipal Utility District No. 67 – Creation Election plus tax rate, bond and director elections
The Brazoria County Elections Office, a department under the leadership of Joyce Hudman, County Clerk, is eager to debut the County’s new Hart Verity voting system. This equipment upgrade was implemented over the summer, and the office is ready to share it with voters. It is a touchscreen system, and in this age of smart phones and tablets, it will be easy for voters to use.
New knowINK Poll Pads will also be implemented. This system should speed up the check-in process as well.
Both new systems have been used for early voting, and the transition to the new technology has been smooth due to the ease of set up and use.
As always, any voter can vote at any Election Day location because Brazoria County uses the vote center process.
